I started my journey toward weight loss about 6 years ago. I had gained 30 pounds in the years post high school graduation and the gaining wasn't slowing down. My lifestyle choices at the time weren't the best and when I decided to return to school in the spring of 2007, I also decided to take on my health as well. Going into it I didn't even know where to begin. I was no athlete or gym rat, so I had never spent anytime in a weight room. I also had never tried to change my diet before, so I was really lost there. I began where most people do, counting calories, obtaining a "globo gym" membership and countless hours on the elliptical staring aimlessly at the silent T.V. or lifestyle magazine. Needless to say, I got bored fast. Fast forward a couple of years and enter CrossFit, Paleo and a total lifestyle/body transformation!
I am no longer a timid, calorie counting, elliptical using frumpy girl. I am now a strong, athletic, competitive CrossFit athlete, coach and nutritionist at Woodward Crossfit. I eat a diet consisting of meat, vegetables, fruits, and healthy fats. I feel better than ever, look better than ever and I want to share my enthusiasm with the world. Hence, the blog :)
